New Members Class 

September 12, 2010    Following the late service. This class is for prospective new members and others who may be interested in learning more about faith and our Lutheran tradition. It will consist of an overview of Luther and the Reformation, the liturgy, the sacraments and the Small Catechism. Those members of the Congregation who would like a "refresher" in our Lutheran theology and practices, are more than welcome to join us. A light lunch will be provided for those attending this session. We would like to finish by 3:30 pm. Current members who would like to attend, please call the church office or email Pastor Rooney.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study 

September 15, 2010 10:00 a.m.   We will take up the study of the Book of Isaiah. Please plan to join us for this Bible study in room 21. 

Prayer Shawl Ministry 

 Wednesday, September 15th  2:00 pm    Meet in the Family Room 11.  An opportunity for caring for others, sharing with others, preparing warm shawls to give.  Come to see what this ministry is all about (you don't have to knit to pray!)  To meet others who care - you might make a new friend or 2.  To put your skills to use - praying, knitting, crocheting, weaving.. Call ahead to find out what to bring.  We have patterns for all skill levels.  Whether or not you knit, crochet or weave, please come and join in the ministry of this caring and sharing group.  Contact Carol Schlenker, facilitator; or telephone 843-2927.

Oktoberfest 

September 19, 2010    Everyone is invited to be German for a day. Following the late service, friends and family welcome!! Reservations requested. Sign up by September 12th. Suggested donation $10.

Commemoration of St. Francis with Rite of Blessing of Animals 

October 3, 2010  4:00 pm.   To celebrate this day, Christ Church together with St. Paul's Lutheran Church of York will be hosting a service including the blessing of animals in the courtyard. All are encouraged to attend, and those with pets are invited to bring them for the rite of blessing..
